The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Penn State is seeking to hire an Audiology Clinic Coordinator.  Responsibilities include clinic management such as:  organization of scheduling clients and managing materials used in the clinic, as well as maintenance and calibration of equipment.  The Audiology Clinic Coordinator will perform hearing evaluations, write reports, fit hearing aids (initial evaluation and fitting, repairs, adjustments as needed, counseling), assist with management of the budget for purchasing hearing aids and earmolds, and assist speech-language pathology graduate students in learning about the scope of practice in audiology.  The Audiology Clinic Coordinator will also teach an undergraduate course, Introduction to Audiology (CSD 230), typically two sections per semester; advise undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in audiology, and serve as faculty advisor for the PSU Audiology Club.  An Au.D. or Ph.D. degree, current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, and eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure are required.  Experience working in a clinical setting and experience with teaching are preferred.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in service provision, community relations, and education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Applications will be accepted immediately and continue until the position is filled.  This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
